In short: in Boca Raton a standard impact window costs about $850–$2,100 installed, a two-panel impact sliding glass door about $3,800–$7,500, and a home with 15 to 20 windows about $18,000–$42,000 for the windows alone. All of these are estimates; the written quote after your measure prices every opening.

Windows
The biggest lever on a window's cost is how much laminated glass it holds; the frame comes next. Expect a powder-room single-hung near the low figure and a broad fixed unit facing the pool near the high one. Crank-operated casements and awnings carry a small premium over sliding sashes of equal size, and arches or eyebrows add more since each is made from a template we take at your house.
| Item | Estimated price, installed | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Single-hung or horizontal roller | $850–$2,100 | Most bedroom and kitchen openings |
| Casement or awning | $850–$2,100 | Toward the top of the range |
| Picture window, large fixed | $2,000–$4,500 | Rises with glass area |
| Arch, half-round or eyebrow | $2,000–$4,500 | Templated on site |
| By opening area | $60–$110 / sq ft | For comparing quotes only |
Sliding glass doors and entry doors
Doors are where budgets surprise people. A slider is a large amount of laminated glass in a frame that also has to roll, lock and shed water, and the wide multi-panel and pocketing units popular on Boca pool decks sit at the top of the table.
| Item | Estimated price, installed | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Slider, 2-panel | $3,800–$7,500 | Most homes |
| Slider, 3–4 panel, corner or pocket | $6,500–$13,000 | Family rooms and pool walls |
| Single entry door | $3,000–$6,500 | Fiberglass or aluminum |
| French doors, pair | $5,500–$9,500 | Patios and courtyards |
Condos, whole homes and the smaller items
| Item | Estimated price, installed | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Condo unit, windows and one slider | $9,000–$24,000 | Board approval comes first |
| Whole home, 15–20 windows | $18,000–$42,000 | Typical 3–4 bedroom house |
| Sidelights or transom | Priced per opening | Done with the door |
| Permit fee | Itemized on the quote | Set by the city or county |
What moves the price on a Boca Raton home
- Number and size of openings. More glass costs more in total, but the price per window falls as the job grows.
- Height and exposure. Oceanfront and Intracoastal condos, and upper floors generally, face higher wind pressure, which can call for a stronger design pressure rating on the same size unit.
- Shape. Arches, half-rounds and eyebrows are custom-built and cost noticeably more than rectangles.
- Frame choice. Vinyl and aluminum sit at different price points, and a bronze, black or special-order finish adds to a white one.
- Glass upgrades. Solar-control Low-E, tinted laminate and privacy glass for bathrooms are each modest per-unit add-ons.
- The opening itself. Rotted wood bucks, out-of-square block and changes in size add labor and stucco work.
- Association requirements. A specified brand, color or grid pattern can narrow the products we can quote.
Per square foot, as a yardstick
Divide a Boca bid by the total square footage of its openings and you will usually land somewhere around $60–$110. Use that only as a sanity check between bidders. Nobody prices windows this way, and small units always look expensive by the foot because anchoring, caulking and paperwork take about as long for a bathroom window as for a big one.
Why local quotes disagree
Bids on one Boca house can differ by thousands for honest reasons. Put them next to each other and check four points. Is every opening included, down to the garage entry door, the transom over the front door and the bathroom window? What is the product approval number and design pressure rating of each unit, since a lower-rated window costs less to make? Are the permit, stucco and trim finishing, and removal of the old windows inside the price or added later? And is the glass large-missile rated on every opening within 30 feet of the ground, which is what most homes here need?
A fifth difference is particular to this area: the jurisdiction. A house inside city limits is permitted by the City of Boca Raton, while Boca West, Boca Del Mar and much of the land west of the turnpike are unincorporated Palm Beach County. Deerfield Beach, just south over the Hillsboro Canal, is in Broward County and the High-Velocity Hurricane Zone, where product approvals are stricter. A quote written for the wrong office can need re-pricing later.
Insurance credits and how the numbers come back
Under Florida statute, carriers have to offer credits for construction that resists wind, and opening protection is among the items a wind mitigation inspector records. Your agent can tell you what that is worth on your policy; get the number before you commit. Partial protection rarely earns the credit, since the inspector is looking for every glazed opening to be covered, so factor that into any plan to phase the work.
Cost questions
How much do impact windows cost in Boca Raton?
As an estimate, a standard impact window costs about $850–$2,100 installed, a picture or custom-shape window $2,000–$4,500, and a house with 15 to 20 windows $18,000–$42,000. The written quote you get after the measure prices each opening.
Why does an impact slider cost so much more than a window?
A slider holds far more laminated glass than any window, and its frame must roll, latch and keep water out while resisting the same pressures. Budget for it roughly the way you would for four or five bedroom-size units.
Is a whole-house job cheaper per window?
Usually. One measure, one permit, one delivery and one inspection get spread over more units. Phasing still makes sense when it lets you protect the most exposed side first.
Is there help paying for impact windows in Florida?
Florida has funded a hardening grant through My Safe Florida Home in several budget cycles, with an inspection first and matching money for qualifying upgrades. Whether it is taking applications changes year to year, so confirm before relying on it.
